In early summer, Dr. Roberto Gonzalez, Vice President for Student Services, worked with his leadership team to implement the inaugural Outstanding Student Services Leadership Award, recognizing staff who have, according to Dr. Gonzalez, "gone above and beyond to serve students."
Classified staff receiving the award include Alfredo Perez (Admissions and Records), Suzi Dovlatian (Student Services), and Noelle McDonald (Vice President's Office). Administrators recognized for their service include Glenn Schenk (Financial Aid), Michael Goltermann (Admissions and Records), and Angel Viramontes (Student Services). Dr. Gonzalez notes that he "awarded Michael, Glenn and Angel a Student Leadership Award for the extra work they took on to assist the Division and our students when one of our Deans left. Michael and Glenn volunteered to take on the added responsibilities for Student Discipline and the Behavioral Intervention team. Angel volunteered to take on added responsibilities for Counseling."
