A quick update on where we are in the search for the next Vice President for Administrative Services...
The application period has closed, and the process of review and panel interviews has been completed by the Personnel Commission (please remember that the VPAS is a classified position, hence the initial coordination done by the Commission). The local search committee, which has been populated in the same manner as the committees developed for the previous two vice president searches, has received the final set of approved applications and is in the process of review.
Interviews with semi-finalists are scheduled for Friday, December 6. We'll use the same format of expanded interviews as used before; i.e., engaging multiple members of the campus community in a round of interviews with each candidate.
Final interviews with me will occur the week of December 9. My goal is to be able to announce to campus prior to the holiday season the name and starting date of the new Vice President.
