Tomorrow is the first day of Black History Month 2021

 Tomorrow--February 1--is the first day of  Black History Month, officially established by President Gerald Ford in 1976.  This month-long observation began in 1926 with the vision of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, to highlight the achievements and history of Black Americans. 

Through the combined efforts of our library faculty and Michelle Long-Coffee, our Director of Public Relations, an excellent digital display has been created.  I encourage you to take a few minutes and view the display and share in the celebration of "the work of African American authors, leaders, activists, curators, creators and experts in their respective fields."
